"Corona has gotten mild"??

Reported symptoms associated with the acute phase (= when you are "actually having COVID") have gotten milder, especially since the emergence of the Omicron variant. That's why many people say COVID-19 feels like a common cold. But the effects of the disease on your body and immune system is a different issue from the symptoms we feel. That is why many experts are still very cautious, avoiding infection completely.

For curious minds, here is a great summary of the disease's effect
on the immune system with plenty of scientific evidence.
